Selling Vendor Items: A Beginner's Guide

Vendor items have been gone over many times on other blogs, but I figured it would help to post one of my own. There are multiple items you can buy from vendors that sell well on the AH. It works because people prefer to pay The Lazy Tax instead of finding the vendor that sells the item.

The most common vendor items I have found that sell well on the AH are:

  • Jeweler's Setting
  • Vanishing Powder
  • Dust of Disappearance
  • Enchanting Vellum
  • Resilient Parchment
  • Tailor/Leatherworker Dyes
  • Rune Thread
  • White Recipes
  • Coal
  • Specialty Bags
There may be more on your server than what's listed here. See what your local vendors sell and check the price. If you think it will sell, buy one and put it up on the AH. If it sells fast, then it's probably a good bet it's a market you want to be in.

Limited items also sell well on the AH, if they're in demand. You can tell if it's limited because it will have a number in parenthesis in the top left corner of the pic.

Check The Undermine Journal and see how much items are selling for. It's a must have in anyone's gold making arsenal, and I personally use it everyday! You will also benefit from using Auctionator and Trade Skill Master. Beginners should get Auctionator first as it is very simple and easy to use. Trade Skill Master is for the more experienced gold maker.

Curse is a very good website to find safe and reliable addons. Eventually I will be putting out Addon Guides on how to setup and use them for maximum profits! So stay tuned for more helpful gold tips and tricks!

PS - I was sad today when I finally got a chance at D3 beta and found out it closed on May 1st.
